1 Listen to me, you islands;
hear this, you distant nations:
Before I was born the LORD called me;
from my mother’s womb he has spoken my name.
2 He made my mouth like a sharpened sword,
in the shadow of his hand he hid me;
he made me into a polished arrow
and concealed me in his quiver. 3 He said to me, “You are my servant,
Israel, in whom I will display my splendor.”
4 But I said, “I have labored in vain;
I have spent my strength for nothing at all.
Yet what is due me is in the LORD’s hand,
and my reward is with my God.”
Isaiah 49:1-4
I came upon this verse today as I was sitting before the Lord and reminding myself of the words God has spoken to me to prepare me to go to Guatemala. In the house of prayer today, I was also reminded of the prophetic word that a group of us got in Kansas City in August that went along with this Isaiah 49 and 2 King 13:17. It was a word about being arrows and being shot out the east door/window. So we got shot out, literally ...and got given an arrow to shoot out the east door. The arrow was in my hands and I threw it as hard as I could to signify God shooting me and the group out into our destinies!!! It's funny that only a couple months later I am making plans to be shot out into Guatemala for the rest of my life!
Rachael, it is so great to see you living your life for God!! He is an awesome God, and worthy of our praise! Your verse today really caught in my heart, Rachael, and reminds me of the vision for my own life. Thanks for being such an inspiration!!!
